Russia's Cherkizovo Group denies possibility of sale

MOSCOW, Dec 13 (PRIME) -- Russian meat producer Cherkizovo Group has strongly denied media reports that it plans to sell the company, Anatoly Vereshchagin, a representative of Cherkizovo and managing partner of communications agency Progress, told PRIME on Wednesday.

“We deny this information. Kommersant prepared the article based on rumors that have nothing to do with reality,” Vereshchagin said.

Kommersant business daily reported citing sources that the family of Igor Babayev, which owns 89.5% in Cherkizovo, is considering selling its business.
